I was quoted 1700 for a paint job at Maaco, along with putting in some new sheet metal in the wheel wells and fixing some other rust. It included their best paint and their 2nd best clear coat, and they advised that it would be a solid 5 year paint job. I've been toying it over, maybe after this winter. I'd love to do it, it would make such a difference. My paint is fading bad on the hood. After a wax it only looks good for like a week, and then starts to fade again, and the trunk and roof are getting rattier, too. The car isn't worth some restoration style paint job, but a nice redo would be swell. Your car looks great, very classic.

only one more thing that make that a sex machine. A xenon headlamp coversion, most likely an H4 xenon retrofit w/ replacement headlamp housings. I love those style headlamps w/ the covers and the amber turn signal underneath.

Kyle, the car looks SUPER! That reminds me of my 1971 220D. I bought it with severe hail damage, chocolate brown paint. I had the hail damage repaired and the car repainted, color changed to black and it was beautiful. Wish i had kept that car, but when the head cracked i didn't have a place to store it until i could get the darn thing repaired.

Slipstream was the best wax ever made, but I have not seen it in 25 years. It was made by Classic Wax in Arlington, TX. I don't think the company exists anymore.

Is this product still available out there somewhere
