Talking 1985 300D Turbo update

Hello Guys,

I just wanted to let you know of the progress I have made on my 300DT. I has 205K miles and most of the common problems. I did the ALDA cleaning...got a little improvement. It was shifting hard from 1st & 2nd. I used the vacuum troubleshooting pictorial from diesel giant.

It turns out the the input from the main supply line to the green dashpot was not even connected. The hose coming out of the dashpot does not have a tight connection into the device on the IP.

I connected it and took her for a test ride. The shifting improved. It most likey will get better once get a good hose coming out of the dashpot.

So that's my update for now.

Next the motor mounts and engine shocks.

Thanks Guys,

bsdguy
