Question Instrument Cluster Lights not working

Last night as I was driving home my interior lights (Instrument cluster,A/C,window switches) flickered and everything went out, except my headlights. The seatbelt light was the only thing on and after a few seconds it went off. This happened before but I just changed the fuse since it blew and bam, working instrument cluster lights. I got home and opened the fuse box and low and behold that same fuse burnt out. So I got a new one, put that bad boy in, turned the light switch to the right and nothing... The only thing that comes on is the gear selector light. Can anybody help? Thanks!

Fuses generally don't blow just for the heck of it. You may have a short in the system somewhere (dangling wire that occasionally touches ground, for example).

First try turning the illumination intensity rheostat back and forth. Does it turn? Can you change the intensity of the gear selector light? Do any of the other lights now work? Report results.

Try fiddling with the dimmer knob. Its one of the two knobs sticking out of the instrument cluter panel. The rheostats in the dimmers tend to go bad after a while. If turning the knob back and forth a few times doesn't work. You can solder a wire between the two contacts on the back of the rheostat, and it will bypass the rheostat and leave the dash lights on full bright.

I tried dimming the gear selector and nothing. The selector just stays bright. The dimmer knob when pushed doesn't even reset the trip mileage. I remember the first day I had the car, I went to adjust the clock and when I pushed the clock knob in to adjust, the horn blew.. Since then my clock only works when it wants too. I'm hoping it just dangling wire or something...

Gremlins are at work on your car, you need to pull the instrument cluster, look for loose wires or damaged insulation, etc. The fact the horn blew when you pushed the odometer reset button tells me there is something amiss for sure.
