Electric window relay: How hot is too hot?

1984 300D turbo

How hot should this relay get?......

I'm attempting to diagnose some electrical problems on the car, and
noticed that the electric window relay gets very hot after the
car has been running a while. (1/2 hour) It is too hot to touch.

Is this normal?

This relay is located right behind the instrument cluster.

Has anyone else noticed this relay gets too hot to touch

They get HOT, and that is OK

I found out that it is OK for relays to get pretty hot.

Especially if they have current going through them all the time, as this one does.
