1996 E300D white smoke problem

i have a 1996 e300d and i have replaced the two flaps in the intake manifold and as long as i was there changed the glow pugs and also the glow pug relay. im still getting a hesitation about 2400 rpms and thats when the white smoke starts? when accelarating no smoke just occurs when leveling off and trying to give a little pedal. any hints?
