Key buzzer switch removal
Hello all,
I've searched but cannot find anything about removing the buzzer switch from the ignition/steering lock assembly. My new part doesn't include that piece (!). It seems intuitive enough, with the inviting little slot on top to push a paperclip or something into, but I can't seem to get it to let go. Anyone else have trouble with this thing? Thanks, Jerry '85 300D |

they are a pain in the a$$.when they snap in there are 2 little barbs that pop into little slots inside, they are almost impossible to get apart without breaking.when i did mine i can't remember how i got it apart.it took me about a half hour and 3 or 4 beers but i got it.

Thanks. I figured out the two little barb things, but just couldn't get anything in there that was just the right thickness/stiffness to work it out. A hacksaw finished the job. I cut away one of the grooves holding the switch in place.
