Carrameow is painting his Mercedes 300D one piece at a time...

I pulled my doors from the car, took them apart, took all the wires, glass and regulators out and stripped them and did them individually. I'm a beginner. I just didnt have the skill and technique to paint a door jamb otherwise. I can just hear some professional out there laughing because he knows the technique to do them in 1 hour. It took a lot of hours for me. I got them painted and to my horror i discovered I scratched 2 of the 4 by resting them on sawhorses and moving them. Then I knocked over a third because its tight in my garage so I had to start all over. Here they are after repriming them. Th eonly trick I feel good about is switching over to plastic storage containers with ( ugggg mulch) in them to weigh them down. It makes ahandling the doors easier as you paint, you just rotate them 360 degrees as you paint instaed of tripping over the jungle in my garage.

Here's my hood, stored uhhh in my living room. My fenders and trunk and front and rear fascia are in my duaghter's bedroom.
