Turbo housings

Can the turbocharger housings be rotated so the outlet is facing away from manifold?

I've been thinking about it. There's a Volvo at a wreckingyard here that has an intercooler...

have a look at Audi 5000 intercoolers they might have a better shape. And the inlet and outlet are next to each other.

the odds of me finding an Audi ANYTHING here are slim to none.

nice try tho

I've done some tinkering and I find that some radiators from small cars with V6 engines can handle up to 25PSI before bursting....and the inlets and outlets are in perfect spots. not real sure that I can use a radiator tho...

im thinking of putting mine laying down over the turbo, with heat shielding and wrapping the turbo of course.(perhaps a VNT turbo) and have some louvers put into the hood, and air piped to the intercooler.also use the N/A manifold..

I think I'll cave and go with air/water. No good places for an air/air without cutting.
