Diesel truck vs Vette

It's not a w123, but hey it's good publicity for diesel power anyway!

I wonder what he did to the Duramax cuz I KNOW it ain't stock. (Tweaked his ALDA and overboost valve )

You know it was chipped. Nitrous does not boost a diesel. Propane will, though.

I am guessing that monster Dmax is owned by John Kennedy from www.kennedydiesel.com Last time I checked his truck is making over 700hp and 1200ft/lbs of torque. The 1/4 mile passes are made in four wheel drive for traction.....

Nitrous most certainly is used in diesels. You are making the assumption that propane is the only power adder. Propane works when there is excess air available in the combustion chamber. The really tweaked diesel pickups have injectors so large there is no way the turbos can stuff enough air into the engine to burn all the fuel they provide. Nitrous takes care of that. RT

Yup, Propane is just another fuel that can be added to the combustion chamber in addition to the diesel. Nitrous Oxide is not a fuel, but an oxidizer, (hence Nitrous oxide). It allows you to burn fuel faster.
