is my new (to me) 79 TD a flood car?

I have pics posted in my other thread, but beware they are large and slow to load, I am posting a link to the other thread... Basically, I just want to know if this is normal for an old TD, or if it looks flood related to you guys. the Interior looks fine, and I see no other evidence of flood. but inside the storage well area where the Jack and Med Kit is stored, there is a lot of silt on the walls etc, but the door and med kit is clean.
It is possible that all the interior was swapped from another car. thus keeping the med kit. clean, but I am concerned.
thanks.
John
it looks like I am jumping into a TD soon

Does the other side storage well (spare tire space) have the same silt ? How about the flat space above the fuel tank, and the top of the tank itself ? Is there a visible high water mark anywhere ?

so far, I have only opened the one side, I will check the other side and look the interior over REAL well, and take pictures of what I find.
what does the toolbag look like to you? definately got wet. possibly there is a rust hole down there somewhere and water is getting in from the wheelwell. I will let you all know what I find.

a rear seatbelt latch in the rear of my car is rusted, as is the vanity mirror on the passenger side sun shade. is this cause for concern?

not if they work fine.

if the car has been flooded you will find silt under your floor mats and on any ledge in the eingine compartment. i would think you might smell a muddly smell inside too.
