Accelerator binding

Ever since I had my glow plugs replaced my accelerator binds at about 1/4 throttle. I guess when they changed the plugs they had to remove the intake and throttle linkage. I moved the next day so I couldn't take it back. Now when the car is cold I have to push quit hard on the accelerator to go. If I push hard enough it goes "over the hump" and jumps to 3/4 throttle. It does not hang in this fashion when I let off the accelerator, only when pushing. I noticed it when I picked up the car from the shop. I should have said something then but was in a hurry. Anybody got any suggestions? I have lubed the linkage and the cable with no results. Its seems something is out of adjustment. It seems to lessen but is still there as the car warms up. TIA

Need to change gears on you just a bit. Is it possible your floor mat has crept under your accelerator pedal and not related to linkage at all. This has happened to me.

Are the CC wires getting caught up? Mine were, added some lube and they are fine now.

Aircraft wires coming from the cruise control unit that hookup to the linkage.

Oh, you have an 87.

Can you duplicate the problem with the engine of by moving the linkage?
