Howdy,

I just put new Bosio BN 0 SD 265 nozzles in my 190D 2.2. You will love them. They are SOOOO much better than Bosch rebiulds, it is not funny. I'm getting approx 20% more power and fuel efficiency than with the Bosch rebuilds.

Previously, I took out the original injectors with German Bosch SD 241 nozzles and installed Bosch rebuilds with the infamous India SD 241's in them. These lasted about 1 year before I started having severe idle problems so that's when I ordered the Bosio's and installed them last week. Like I said, there is no comparison.

My experience: Rebuilding the injectors is a no brainer. I have a pop tester, but I never found any of the ones I rebuilt needing any adjustment. I'm sure that you could get picky about the pop pressure but just throwing the new nozzles in and torquing the injector bodies to spec seemed to be perfectly adequate.

My advice is that if you need new injectors, you will be satisfied with just replacing the nozzles with new Bosios. No need to spend extra $$$ on the whole injector or balancing. I would only balance them if they give you problems after the fact.

Sholin

I'm about to do the same.

BUT....following a BAD day, and fall from a lift, I'm still playing catch up on body work. Heh, good excuse to replace rusty rocker panels.

DO TELL as soon as you can after the installation.

I just installed a set on my 300SD. Initial indications are very positive. I wish I could find some shims easily, though. They all pop uniformly, but at about 1500psi......

Rick,
Go to Southeast Power Systems on OBT, about 1 mile south of Lee Rd.
phone# 407-293-2921

Do they really pop at 1500psi or did you mean 150psi?

Danny

Danny-

Yeah-1500 and the spec is closer to 2500. I'll give them a call- what do you think they get for them?

Are you talking just the bosch tips or the whole injectors youre getting rid of? Might grab em if theyre cheap for spares, never have looked at the condition of mine, I think my timing might still be off too, I noticed yesterday and today with the driver window down that when I take off from a stop it pings like a gasser with predetonation, until it gets a little monentum going. Would that be considered "Nailing"?

.....And the wheels on the bus go round and round....
