Windshield wiper arm problem
Ok, I went ot clean my windshield with cleaner and I lifted the arm to clean the blade also and the arm locked in place at about 45*. I have never messed with a mono-wiper and I cannot see how to release it. I was used to a full 90* and for some reason thought this was the same. Iknow, I know, DA me. What is so simple that I cannot see?

Been there, done that, so don't feel like the Lone Ranger.
If you look up underneath the wiper arm at the end, you'll see what looks like a brass bar held in place with a phillips head screw. At one end of it, is a u-shaped round metal bracket. There's a land under the brass bar that this bracket catches on when you lift it up far enough, locking the wiper arm up. Will take what feels like a considerable amount of pressure, but the bracket will pop back over the land and go back down. Just need to give it a good firm push.
