1996 E300D Code P0200 Weird Problem
My new to me 96 E300D has a persistent P0200 code issue. If I clear the code, I can run about 50-100 miles without it coming back on. Car runs fine. This week I drove about 1200 miles at a near constant 75mph and the light went off by itself. I was using some Diesel Kleen in the tank. Any thoughts on what a persistent p0200 issue means and why it would go away with constant high speed driving or with the Diesel Kleen?

P0 200 is a generic code for at least 8 specific MB codes...most related to either injection pump OR intake manifold variable flaps (3)....
NEED to get specific MB code to proceed.

will do. I will go by the local shop who has been working on my car and ask him to read the codes and let me know. Thanks.

I had the codes checked on a Mercedes specific code reader. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to read the code. Mechanic said that it was the injector shut off valve code or something to that effect. However, since the car stops immediately he said not to worry.
Thanks for the input. |
