I have the Mecedes CD for E300 TD, it is terrible and not worth the $150 they charge. I have a fairly good German publication but it is in German. My wife reads German but has trouble translating technical terms to me which usually happens when I sitting there with greasy hands.

I have WIS and it works great. It contains pretty much most any repair I need to perform

Marty.... have you received your copy...are you ready to critique it for us?
Cheers

I've gotten it but haven't had a chance to critically review it...so far I can see it references things like vacuum shutoff and mechanical governor on the IP and I know the W210 does not have these so I am suspicious of how the details are handled or if there is just mindless cut and paste from prior manuals.

On the positive side, it is small and does cover most major areas of interest on the car...like I said, one good tip or hint and it will pay for itself.

W210 Series Manual

I got the manual. At first when I open the package from the UK I thought I got ripped off. (8 inch by 4 inch Paperback book, 208 pages) Then I started thumbing through and looking at information. It has a lot of exploded diagrams and technical inforamtion. All of the torque specification is worth the cost. I bought it to do a lower control arm bushing replacement and it has a step by step procedure with diagrams. The manual covers: Engine, Lubrication, cooling system, injetion system, clutch, transmision, drivesahft, suspension (front & rear) steering, brakes, electrical, exhaust, wheels, service/maintenance, fault finding, and LOTS of wiring diagrams. In the end, I feel the $30USD was worth the cost and it has already paid for it self with several watch out and I would not of know about without it. I recomend.

You tell me. I assume that it's more complete than WIS, which lacks a lot of information on the 210 (and presumably many other models).

I'm considering it, so let me know what you think.

In my opinion, I think it is worth the $150. I'm not the kind of guy to complain about Braingears going down; I have no qualms about paying money for the tool (in this case a manual) to repair my car.

The DVD not only covers repairs, it covers HOW things work. For instance, it went into detail about how the intake resonance flaps work.

I'll tell you what, you tell me what you're interested in, I'll tell you how much detail the DVD has.

It is better than WIS though. I have that for my wife's ML and it's next to worthless.

Great thread title. Exactly what I would like to know about this one.

http://www.mercedesmanuals.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=rskw210&CartID=1

Above posts mention the author was decent, but sadly I have found nothing to support this. The product page above doesnt even mention book size or page count. Even though I tried to ask the presales support people, they tell me to view the product page.

Great support.

Thanks for help if anyone is familiar with this publication or something similar.
