The price does seem very low. Perhaps there's something fishy afoot. Perhaps it's a decent deal.

You know car dealers, their only interest is selling the best possible car, at the lowest possible price, nothing more exspensive than a cheap mercedes.

WOW....It's cheap enough that I could use it as a parts car. If only it was white. Darn.

For the same price, I'd take the first car!

ncof300d, have you inquired about the car yet? I'm curious what mileage it has and what condition it's in. I'm guessing it has over 200K miles, but it could still be the bargain of the century.

I'm guessing 250k miles plus, and "some gaps" in service history. I would be a lot more positive is it was not an independent dealer. There is of course a chance it is a good find.

You should call just for the heck of it. Probably has 250k-300k miles on it. Still if it was taken care of that souldn't be a problem.

I just called and spoke with the owner of the delaership. The car has 165K miles. He was not sure if he still had the car as he has two lots and the car was not located at the lot where I called. I asked him why the price was so low and he did not think that $8,000 was necessarily 'low' for one of these. He is to check and call me back f the car is still available.

Maybe it's a misadvertised E320. Still a low price but more of a sale price than an outright scam.

Strange, if you can get it for $8k and its decent buy it. That car is about $5k below market.

I'm betting it is either an E320 or if it is a E300 it has a salvage title...these dealers know what cars are worth...all they have to do is check eBay if they were not sure.
