Anybody in 'Ol Bamy?
Is there anyone here who resides in/near Albertville,Al? There's a gentleman down there from the earlycj5.com board who's trying to whip me up an adapter to mate an OM616 to a Jeep T90 transmission, and he'd like to take a look at the ass-end of a OM616 or OM617 engine, preferrably with a manual flywheel on it.
If there's anyone in that neighborhood who has one OUT of a car and easy to get to, your assistance would be appreciated immensely. TIA! Don |

If you do not have anything invested yet, I would call Mr Kennedy at Kennedy adapters. He has helped me with adapters, clutches, input shafts, PP's, for more than 30 years. He is an older german man. Impecable work and relatively reasonable. If you are very nice to him he will make just about anything for you. He has templates for almost everything.

Well, we've already got a good start on this. This gentleman is a machinist and has made other adapters as well as Saginaw conversion parts. He's got a 240D bellhousing that I sent him and acess to a T90 Jeep tranny, but if he was able to gain acess to an OM616 it would help out immensely.
This adapter will be available to others, if he can sucessfully pull it off. Don |

I've got a 617 engine sitting on the stand in the shop but am an hour or so away from the Ala border.
