Portland Oregon Tool Thread
Okay, I have a lot of tools and I want to share the love. If you are in the Portland Metro Area, we can arrange some sort of deposit for you to borrow them:
(4) jackstands (4) large truck jackstands (1) M0007 prechamber thread ring tool for OM615, OM616, and OM617 engines. (1) M0046 prechamber puller for OM601, OM602, OM603, OM604, OM615, OM616, and OM617 engines. (1) slide hammer with many attachments (2) gear pullers - one very large one (2) coil spring compressors (1) air compressor - 30 gal 4.6cfm@90psi (1) in air oiler (1) very large impact wrench (3/4" drive) (2) sets of impact sockets (1) 3/8" drive air ratchet (1) cut off tool (1) 14" chop saw (with abrasive cutting blade) (1) sawzall (1) stick (arc - SMAW) welder with chord to plug into a standard drier outlet (1) small portable OxyAcetylene welding/cutting rig (1) set tripple square tools (2) sets of "allen wrench" sockets - one set extra long (1) 27mm deep well craftsman socket for pulling injectors Anyway, I just don't want anybody to have to buy any tools that they wouldn't use very often (like the chamber pullers - or the extra large jackstands). Those truck jackstands are great if you ever have to drop the tranny. This is not nearly my whole collection, just the stuff I thought the average MBZ backyard mechanic might be missing. |

There is a tool rental thread, but it is not Portland specific.
I have a 2 ton engine crane living at my inlaw's house in the Portland area that could be used.

Hey, that is cool, but nobody wants to pay to ship an aircompressor back and forth.

True. The tool rental thread is more focused on small, specialized tools.
