As in the title, '84 300TD. runs rough in park but O.K. otherwise. Anyone know what might be up with that?

rough? or noisy? a better description of the problem would help, but check the usual things. air filter rubber standoffs first, cause at idle the motor is tilted a bit and can really exaggerate the noisy AF. Motor Shocks and mounts etc.

If you have already checked the above mentioned items and they are good, you may try adjusting the rack damper bolt. I adjusted mine about a half turn last weekend and it took care of the shakes. Do a search for rack damper bolt and there is a ton of info on it.

It's not noisy, it is rough right when I go from drive to park. It stays rough until I shut it down. I check those things you guys mentioned...

Have you pop tested your injectors?
Checked your timing?
Adjusted your valves?
