Granted it's only been three years but she appreciates irony.

Otherwise I wouldn't be able to get away saying things like the following when she was knee-deep in morning, noon and night sickness whilst pregnant:

"I'm so sorry honey, if I'd known you'd be this sick I would've gotten somebody else pregnant."

At the time, she would've preferred that.

By the way, she was fully complicit in the purchase of this car -- she named her "Hilde", a name with hips -- and loves her and the attention just as much as I do.
