I am not sure what you mean - does the striker move/is it adjustable? I've been reading how difficult the bolts are to loosen...

The nylon inset (you're talking about inside the striker - right?) looks fine - I think? And spacers? What spacers?

Glad you got the vac thing isolated. way to go.

never assume anything! be methodical.

Before you remove the srike plate, look it up in the archives. DO NOT remove all the bolts thinking that the threads are fixed inside the body. big mistake.

strike plate= metal horseshoe thing on car chassis not on door itself.
