I have a 99 E-300-TD. I commute to work by train, so I don’t put may miles on the car. I am all the way up to 11,000 miles at the moment
I changed the oil at 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000 miles. From now on I was thinking every 5,000 miles, but It may take me over a year to put 5,000 miles on it. Is there any problem letting the old oil sit in the car that long? In the summer months I do take it on numerous 100 mile trips. It is a good thing I love this car, because it will be a LONG time before it runs out of steam.
