I think just about every servo ad on ebay says something to the tune of "This complete unit sells for $1670 from MBUSA" which is complete nonsense.
Why would anyone waste their money on that piece of garbage when you can get an aluminum body for around $600 or even better a digital unit from Unwired via your preferred reseller?

Servo Cracks
If anyone has ever taken a servo apart you will find that the cracks in the mid chamber is absolutely no problem at all. There are drain holes in the mid chamber anyway. If any water gets into the mid chamber it means that the lower water valve seal is leaking. And if this water collects in the mid chamber it will quickly ruin the motor and the gear train.
I have more issue with the aluminum mid chamber than I do with the cracked plastic. All the aluminum mid chamber I have seen do not have drain holes, so if your lower water valve develops an internal leak it will completely ruin the servo before you will know anything about it. Most mid chamber cracks you see will have no coolant leaking from them and don't in themselves make the servo junk. Matt
