My Dad is very concerned about doing a purge on my 1984 300 SD. He said it may actually do more harm than good. Like the compression may get off or something like that.

Well anyways, Does my Dad have any substance to his claim? Is it or could it be harmful?

And if you have used it before do you have any testimonials?
