The guys an idiot and you did the right thing. You won't regret it. No way it warmed up that much just moving it around the house. Title should have been in hand too. RT

Guy was not an idiot. Guy was a crook. See all the info above and tell me if he was simply stupid or just trying to hoodwink somebody.

sometimes you just have to be sneaky.i just bought a freightliner and told the guy i would call before i came to get it as i wanted to see a cold start just like you.well last tuesday i show up and he's like "i thought you were gonna call before you came".to which i replied"i was gonna call you on the way down but i forgot your number in the car which i had the last time i looked at the truck"so i got to see a cold start, which i was happy with.now i have a tow vehicle for my 5th wheel.

Well, if you tell him something twice and he cannot follow a simple instruction, that makes me wonder about what he is trying to do. First time, maybe. 2nd time when he tells you the deal is contingent on the cold start and you override it, I tend to think you are hiding something. I had the dealership start up and warm up the car when I was picking it up. Guess what? They were trying to hide the fact that it was difficult to start. Diagnosed it and it was the fuel lines leaking air.

Ya did the right thing. He had something to hide. So what was his response to warming the motor up anyway?

Well, I still think hes and idiot. Sure hes a crook too but mainly an idiot. If he was a smart crook he would have had the correct oil in the trunk regardless of what was in the oil pan. He also would have recognized a MB enthusiast from the questions and not wasted his time trying to trick him. RT

He told me that he'd just brought the car around to the front of the house. That's all he had to say about that.
