Engine shocks are even easier to change out as well. Mabe that is why the cost anywhere from $40 to $60 a piece. You also need to buy the new rubber parts that is around $15 for each side as well. Money well spent!

Did shocks and mounts on mine. First side took about 25 minutes, the second side about 15. Easy to do. And what a difference!

According to my copy of the Nichol's/Chilton Labot guide....
Changing front mounts for an '82 300SD should take 2.4 hous and the rear 0.9 hours. You do the math.

It does not take that long! I never changed mounts before. I was a mount virgin. This is an easy job. Takes longer to drag the tools out and jack the car up than to do the job.
