New differential mount and coil shims
I just replaced my differential mount and put on the 21mm spring shims on my 300sd. That was the best $60 I've ever spent on the car. Before my tires were wearing because of the negative camber. Now they are close to perfect. The rearend doesn't bang around either when going over bumps.

That's an interesting photo of the SD. The back end looks exactly like the '86 SDL........just slightly higher than stock. When heavily loaded it will sit about perfect.
I've had some trouble to get accustomed to the look..........I still think the front end needs to drop down about 1" on all W126's. If you get a chance, please measure the distance from the pavement to the inside of the wheel arch and provide the tire size. I'd like to compare it to these two. |
