1992 300D 2.5 Prechamber ballsup
Well, not quite the prechamber, more like the threaded ring that holds the prechamber in, that you screw the injector into. I put the injector in skew and crossed the threads. Won't go back in the way it should. Oooooo!
Anyway, so it seems I should pull the 'threaded ring' as MB calls it and put a new one in. But seems I need a special tool. Is it this one? 603 589 00 09 00 PIcture attached. I can't figure out if I've got the splined rings or the regular. It's a 602.962 - the 5 cylnder. Which tool do I need? Is the attached pic the right tool, or is it the one for the splined threaded ring? Thanks. And if you know a good place to get or rent the tool, please let me know. ACtually, just had another think about it - there is a spline in the injector bay, but I thought it was plastic. It could be metal, and obviously the spline for removing the 'threaded ring' HA! I think I found it - it must be like the second picture attached. Anyone got one to lend me? PAul
