124 diverter pod replacement

I pulled the dash on the Scalded Dog (no big sweat...pretty easy actually) but I'm trying to pull the top of the center vent. I'm not sure what its called but its the item, plastic top, where the diverter pod sits.
How do I get this thing off? I need to get it off to replace the center vent pod. Please help.

thanks,
Clint

To remove the top of the blower case there are a handful of small metal spring clips (they're easy to lose!) and two phillips screws at the front, near the windshield.

the screws are a pita

I had to use a mirrow to see them. Once you get that off the fun begins. To replace the pod, I had to take the pod apart to get it down in the opening.

Good luck.
