Crank position sensor
Well the EDS is freaking out again (no boost) apparently because of a dead crank position sensor. What does the crank position sensor do (besides sense the position of the crank), and what is it for? Some sort of timing thing?

It sends a pulse to the EDS, tach, Klima relay, etc. indicating engine revolutions. These devices measure revolutions over time to determine engine RPM.
AC voltage measured across the sensor pins should increase proportionately with engine RPM. Sixto 93 300SD |
