Union Pacific is testing an oxidation catalyst in one of their locomotives. The concept looks an awful lot like the trap ox in the 87 300D  Looks like they're installing it on an EMD SD60M for those who know their locomotives.The turbos for these things can't be cheap...they're bigger than the engine in yer 300D

Learn something every day, around here. You guys just keep going. I'm sitting here reading and absorbing. This is really fascinating stuff. I've been vaguely familiar with the workings of locomotive units, but you all are a wealth of knowledge. I'm just taking notes so please keep going. I love the pic.
