JackG is periodically pulling off parts from a flood TD down here. PM him and see if he can pick it up for you on the next trip. He's more likely to get it before next year .

I'm actually from New Orleans, I could have my dad or someone go pull it.
You know where the flooded TD is located? I should probably PM JackG and ask him before I go pilfering parts from his parts source

I saw that one, no mine's a w123. I toyed with the idea of seeing if it would fit, but then I back to reality
THanks

My TD (1987) also reads the wrong speed. This is because the Carrier (Differential) has been changed to a different gear ratio. It's tough finding a used/rebuilt Carrier for the 1987, so I had the Indy put one in from a 1987 sedan.

Is there a way to adjust the Speedo/Odo to make it read right??

In stock configuration my speedo was 7% fast and the odo was correct.

Now my odo is 7% short, but my speedo is correct. Best part is, my rpms are 7% lower on the highway now.

Taller tires...poor man's re-gear. You just have to remember to adjust the miles or your fuel consumption calcs will be bad!
