I fixed my blower motor here's how
My blower motor on my 83 300TD just stopped coming on one day here are the steps I took to fix it.
1. Check the #8 fuse for power on both ends. 2. Remove the climate control panel and test to make sure it is giving and recieving 12 volts. (you must have the blower motor switch on high to have it give 12 volts) 3. Tested the ground and hot lead going into the blower motor (must have switch on high and ignition on to get 12v). 4. When the current flow and grounds were checked OK, I removed the blower motor. 5. Took off the retaining clip for the terminal leads and took the motor out of the pastic housing. 6. Sprayed all the connections and the motor with PB blaster and wiped them clean 7. Put the motor back in the car and hooked up the terminals. Worked the first time I started it up. |

the PB blaster is a decent short term fix. when i did mine this way it lasted a few months then stopped again. i have yet to fix it again.
