Diesel Limo

Ebay item number 130082072855 - interesting car. Most interesting to me is the interior and how it is done. I've never seen a center console like that on a W123 - it has the radio and such above the fresh air vents, which are exactly like my W115, but then it has the manual heating controls like a standard W123 240D, only arranged differently. I wonder if that was a standard design for the "lang" versions or if someone customized it?

I want it. Better hope the executive in the back is not in a rush!

It does have back seat room for a King, but it sure is butt faced ugly. All that car and then a 240D to pull it around.

This limo tends to make the rounds on MB diesel forums every now and then. Anyone remember the outcry when it appeared on CL as an ad for a car you could destroy for a specified amount of money?

I remember this one from awhile back...butt-ugly and quick as a snail.
I would at least put a proper grill on, some Euro bumpers, and then we "could talk."

Now, wouldn't it be interesting to see a Norwegian über-606 and a 5spd in this baby?

This ain't no limo it is a taxi! and probably Lebanese at that!

The concept of Limousine was lower key in the 80's than now. But i would not qualify it as ugly. It is what it is. The DOT bumpers are not originals. And with a 616 that must be in 1981 one of the last ones of its kind. All limos after that are 617 turbos unless made for Lebanon.

Yes I remember that one, it was on the Bay Area craigslist for quite some time about a year and a half ago or so... It has the taxicab dashboard, horrid paint job, and color coded bundts. Thats has to be the same one. It would still be a fun car to own and fix up!
