aux pump wire color
Pick up a used aux water pump for my 300SDL.
The wires are brown and black. What does each wire represent? Thanks A

Black is positive, brown is ground.

Make sure you fuse the black wire with a 1 amp inline fuse, if the SDL is not already set up that way. On my 123 and the 126 if an auxwater pump fries it takes the ACC with it.

Is the black wire hard wired to the battery or piggy backing on a fuse in the fuse box? Thanks A

It's typically fed power throught the ACC. It gets zero power when the temp is set to "MIN"
That is how it is on the w123 82-85.
