Best W123 Car Cover

The other day the cover on my TD blew off in a wind storm and is most likely in Mexico by now. No sign of it anywhere.

Was very pleased with my old cover but thought I'd ask you guys which cover you think is the very best available. I need one that breathes but also UV protection is important was well.

Thanks for your input.

Cheers,

Bill

Hi Bill how is it going? Havn't seen you in a bit.

As for a car cover it depends on what you are looking to spend really. I have had great luck with my $20 Walmart special, its on year two and still going strong. But the SDL just sits in a garage and the cover is just to keep dust off.

Out side covers take more abuse but Walmart does offer some half way decent ones for $100ish.

If you want a really nice cover you need to get one custom cut. Griots has a bunch figure $300-$400.

Been way too busy Hattie. Haven't had a day off since Christmas but have been looking on the forum every now and then.

Wally Mart has covers for 123's??

I do need a good one for outdoor use. Mine that was lost was like $300 but can't remember where I got it. The TD is too nice to just let it sit out in the weather. I don't even drive it in the winter when there's salt on the road.

I'll look into the Wally Mart one. Thanks.

Cheers,

Bill

Walmart doesn't have any model specific car covers, just generic ones.

But yeah if you want a good quality cover look at Griots.

I am thinking about getting some of those with a floor and tent like structure that you drive into, and zip closed...
that or adding on to the size of my garage...

NASA reported it as a UFO. Bill, I brought a 30.00 car cover from Advanced Auto that is great- breathable, you can tie it down I use extra clamps on the fenders take 3 minutes to put on and take off. Hey you coming to Chambersburg...sorry for the hijack.

Oh believe me, it went airborne. Usually would wind up across the road in the neighbors shrubs but not this time. I'll look at Advances' cover but I'd bet they don't have one for a wagon.

Yeah, I most likely will come. Chambersburg isn't too far. Might bring my 240 beater this time.

Cheers,

Bill

I saw it fly over Houston today. At first, I mistook it for the Lufthansa Boeing 747 used on the Frankfurt-Mexico City flight that flies directly over Houston enroute.

I think I saw that car cover go over my house a few days ago, Bill. There was a guy in a lawn chair trailing along right behind it.
