1987 300TD P/S return hose size?

Does anyone know the size of the power steering return hose for a 1987 300TD? Also, what type of hose do you recommend - fuel hose OK?I wanted to fix a minor leak today and can't wait for parts.

Thanks.

10mm. (Which is very close to 3/8.")

If you can't wait for parts, why does it matter what the size is?

Thanks Tango. I should have said "I prefer not to wait" 3-4 days and pay shipping for an inexpensive hose. That said, 3/8" fuel line would be OK?

SAE J189 spec hose is what you want. Most parts stores carry it.

The hose you'd get at the dealer is NOT cheap, but it's also much beefier (IMO) than the cheesy stuff you'd get at McParts. That said, I have used the 3/8" cheap junk in a pinch, or on an older car I was less concerned about. If it's your baby, I'd get the proper hose on there eventually. The bad news is that the dealer will generally sell you a 1-meter length, which is a lot more than you need. I think it's something like $20/meter but I forget exactly.
