Rollback is the only kinda truck I let them put my cars on. I keep the numbers for several tow companies with me. All of them have rollbacks. Even my Suburban and son's 155 inch wheelbase pickup (it just fit!). Oh, and go ahead and report the woman to the state DMV some states keep records on drivers like that. If she's a poor driver, they may just get after her.

Not sure if it would have been better if I let her hit me because insurance would probably total my car or screw me over some other way. I'll see what my insurance will do in tracking down the other person but I'm thinking I'll have to foot the bill. But I'll keep the car 10+ years so it's ok.

I think a tow truck will mess the car up more than driving it 15 miles to my mechanic. I'll take it very slowly...

Again, let me offer some advice. Don't waste your time worrying about the other driver, or reading other's post to the contrary. What "should be right" and what "will happen" don't always match. This is one of those times. At the very least, your insurance company will send it to their subrogation department, and they will send a letter to the other party, and one to you every month for about 2 or 3 months. Then one day you will get one stating that nothing further can be done, and they are closing the matter.
You are getting a bunch of "do this" and "do that" advice from folks that haven't been through the ordeal in the same manner. Remember, you had no contact. We had a buckled hood and busted grill. (Hummer vs my wife's minivan) We had witnesses and photos and all kinds of things, but were stone walled by the guys attorney. (who happened to be his wife ) Even my attorney told me it was not going to go anywhere.
This forum is really filling up with very uninformed advice of late, be it car related or ancillary.....
Focus on fixing your car. That is the reality.......

**edit**
Some good previous info from earlier (although there is something wrong when you've been in 6+ wrecks) is "Let them hit you". I've even had the police tell me this, along with insurance agents....
