Need Help - sealing oil leaks - 617 engine out of car
Hello all -
I have a replacement engine for my '84 300sd and I am looking for advice on all the nooks and crannies to seal before installing the engine. At this point I know I will do front and rear main seals, IP drain tube, air filter drain tube (has anyone come up with a better arrangement?) and the oil filter to block gasket. My old engine had several leaks and they were really, REALLY annoying to me so I would like to minimize the chances of oil leaks before the engine goes in. Any additional areas that anyone knows of - please let me know. Also - I would be interested in advice on any unusual issues - other than just oil leaks - that I should address while engine is out. Thanks in advance for any and all help! |
