1983 W123 Speedometer gears
My speedometer reads 10mph fast at all speeds and clocks an extra 3/10 mile per mile extra. If I change the speedometer gears with the kits available, how do I determine which teeth ratio to use? I haven't pulled and counted my current speedo gear teeth yet. Thanks.

Are you running factory sized tires and wheels? Is the transmission and rear diff all factory original?

You need to find out about the diff and the tranny. Sometimes during a tranny swap the speedo gear gets overlooked. a MB shop should be able to tell you how many teeth the gear should have. A local speedo shop should be able to also.
