Indentifying years of 240D's?
Is their a place on the car, where I can identify whether it is a 1974 240D or a 1977 240D? What to look for, and where at?
thanks, Jim

The 74 should be a W115 and the 77 should be a W123. Anyway, look for a plate on the drivers door post that give the date of manufacture.

Thanks for the pictures, and explantations, I thnk I can indentify them now. Unfortunately, the cars I was going to look at in the salvage yard, have been crushed long ago, according to the kid that is working there.
