That's an interesting idea. It may not be practical to actually try to make and market a "kit", but a detailed list of part numbers, quantities, and costs might be useful.

Post some pictures of the current configuration.

1. Picture(s) of tank line / prefilter / lift pump / primer pump area.

2. Picture(s) of the spin-on fuel filter / injection pump area showing the 3 plastic hardlines.

From your diagram, it looks like the hardlines were probably disturbed or possibly cut. If damaged, they will need to be replaced, not patched. If the banjo fittings have been removed, you really should replace the copper seal washers. If you are using 5/16 fuel line in place of the original metric fuel line, be sure the hose clamps are not distorting the fuel line into an oval shape. (Better to use fuel line clamps instead of regular hose clamps).

Seem doubtful that it could have been fully restored in one day. By the diagram, I think you would have had some damaged parts which I doubt could be obtained in one day.

Post your location. With any luck maybe someone who can help you is located nearby,

the system is the way it was before i tried to convert it, and it has run great this way. i do believe however that the hard lines were replaced by the previous owner. My goal is to run this car on Veggie oil. i realize the risks, and potential problems. if its not running the way that i got the car, and has always run great, then it must be a problem with something else such as a clogged filter, or something with the injection system.

no matter how flawed the fuel system is i have trouble believing that it could go from running great to not starting literally over night...

i would appreciate it if you could be open minded, and if the only advise you have is to switch it back to stock... well, i don't want it.

xceth,

Didn't U report that there was hardly any fuel coming out of the outlet of your IP when U pump the primer pump? That tells me that the IP is not getting fuel.

So your problem is lack of fuel. Loosen the fuel lines going to the injectors. THere should be a slight amount of fuel coming out when the engine is cranked by the starter. No fuel, no start.

when i loosen the fuel lines at the injectors and crank i get plenty of fuel, and it pulses out in the correct firing order...
but there is still no fuel coming out of the IP return.

could bad injectors be causing this? the previous owner kept a very thorough maintenance book. i'm realizing now that the car has 170,000mi and has never had the injector changed....
could this be cuase the problems? how can i easily check the injectors?

xceth,

Its strange that fuel won't come out of the IP outlet. Maybe the pressure relief valve is stuck. Or maybe your hand pump won't develope enough pressure to open the relief valve.

One easy way to check the injectors it to remove them, connect them back to the lines and see if they spray when the engine is cranked. It would be nice if U had a spare line so U could bend that line to point the injector up to make it easier to see the spray.

I have injectors with 270,000+ miles and they work fine. Usuallhy when an injector goes bad, it will leak and cause a knock in the engine from preignition.
