Fuel starvation...running out at half a tank?
Hello all.
I searched for answers on this topic, but didn't come up with much. I am running out of fuel when the tank is 1/2 full (or empty). The complicating factor is that I have a greasecar conversion. At the moment, It is having fuel delivery issues as well. I have new filters in, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. It almost seems like one of the fuel lines into the IP is blocked or that the lift pump isn't working at full pressure. Tried some techron over the weekend, doesn't seem to be in the injectors. Has anyone ever heard of a lift pump failing? Or does anyone have additional ideas? (this seemed to have happened progressively. First, I ran out before the reserve fuel light came on, now it is at half a tank.) (car is an 84 300td with a greasecar kit installed and around 5000 miles on mostly virgin veg oil.) thanks...
