Heated seat question
I`ve got a chance to get some heated seats for my 126. The problem is the skins are a different color. How hard would it be to swap my skins on to these other seats with the heaters in them . The springs are shot in my drivers seat any way. How are the heaters attached to the seat? The guy wants 225 for all the seats front and back with the center console and switchs. Or should I just try to find a good set of springs and use the after market heaters? Thank`s Rick

Mercedes seat heaters are sewn into the seat pad itself. This is why they work so well, the only thing between you and the heater pad is the skin (leather or MB tex) of your seat.
I would look into dying the seats the right color? How far off is it? Seems like a very reasonable price to me. EDIT: My 1000th post! Last edited by 1985 300SD Sady; 04-22-2007 at 04:48 PM. |

Probably wouldn't be too hard to make tan become blue....
If it were the other way around it'd be a lot harder....

If it is just MB-Tex, Sem Aerosols makes Color Coat which I have had good results with.
They even match to factory colors... http://www.vinylpro.com/29/cat29.htm?279 I ordered from here. |

I think there are also timers involved in addition to the switches and wiring
