A/C Flow

Hi
Is this the flow of the A/C? compressor-Condenser-Expansion Valve-Evaporator-Receiver/dyer-compressor.
Thanks

Nope, it is

Compressor --->condensor---->receiver-dryer--->expansion valve--->evaporator--->compressor

The refrigerant starts as a low pressure gas at the exit of the evaporator, it is compressed to a high pressure gas then condenses to a liquid inside the condensor where the heat is released to the outside air in front of your radiator and then the liquid refrigerant is filtered and dried in the receiver-dryer, then the liquid is expanded through the expansion valve orifice into the evaporator where it absorbs the heat from the air passing over the cooling fins and reduces in pressure to start all over again.

Thermodynamics...it's a wonderful concept. Just remember the refrigerant's job is to carry heat from inside the car to outside. It boils inside the evaporator to suck heat out of it and then it condenses back into liquid in the condensor to release the heat. The compressor provides the "work" needed to change the phase back from a low pressure gas to a high pressure gas before it can condense back into a liquid.
