smoking at idle 80model 300d

Just purchased 80 model 300d to utimately convert to vegetable oil usage. I have very little experience with diesel engines but willing to learn. Car runs good at speed limit and doesn't seem to smoke. However, white fuel rich smelling smoke bellows out at idle runs away with itself as if the throtle pedal gets stuck. Changed one braided hose due to leakage on #1 cyclinder.

Crack each injector line nut while the car is idling. You likely have a miss. Try adjusting the idle screw down to prevent the idle from creeping up.
