Am I the only one that noticed how strong of a motor that was??? It cranked over by jumping the starter, no glow required! It sounded like it fired up in about 6-7 rotations, and stayed running pretty good! I wonder how many miles it had on it.

I think it looked better in its previous, decrepit state.

25 years of relentless abuse sounds about right. As was suggested.

I can't even imagine...SHE PAID $500 FOR THAT THING!

My eyes, my eyes! I truly think the whole lot of them are certifiable.

Can't wait to see what they would do with a w210.... Put some 25's on it and jack it up like a Caprice and paint it powder blue :-)

Well, well ,well...

Besides the tacky exterior colors and that hood ornament... The SEC grill, euro lights, clear turning lights, and AMG-like body moulding are pretty nice. If they actually fixed the real issues of the car. That is actually something i would buy (drop a few dollars in a repaint and a new non-Special hood ornament) and have a throughly decent looking vehicle.

Again we can critized them for such a blasphemy, but they gave that car a new lease on life.

I think of that car in the same light I think of Church's (the cat) "resurrection".

crunk=high"usually from pot, weed, mary-j,ganja,etc..."+drunk"of of your favorite alcoholic beverage"
The headrest t.v's were pointless, i thought that the euro kit looked goo, and the auto trunk was kind of neat...

Im not sure that this Benz would be me, but what happened to it is a lot better than being crushed and scrapped! I think in this day and age, this Benz will generate a lot of interest in the older diesel Benz's where ever it goes and that's a good thing!

LOL, Spechelle kinda looks like one of my friends who happens likes MB diesels. We ought to do our own "Pimp My Ride". Except, we tone it down a little and make it more familiar to MB diesel geeks.

"Man, I'm gonna put some gen II W126 rims on this beyotch! Put a 3rd brake light on, one of them outside temp indicators, Euro lamps with them tight dark amber lenses, Euro light wipers, and ya'll... get this... we've discovered a new type of rubber to put on the vacuum system components, you can now go from 10 years between failures to 12 at the most! We're gonna hook the interior up with Euro style Velour, go from Zebrano to Burlwood, put a Euro trunk warning triangle on it, and a Marshall Booth approved IMPROVED air intake filtering system! Tonight at 8 on MercedesShop TV, right after Hart to Hart, only the episodes with the 300TD in it."

Yes, I'm up too late. LOL.

Well that is just about the worst W126 I have seen, well no their was one other...

Talk about a beat POS, but the engine seemed really strong. God only knows when the valves were last adjusted.

The car looks horrible, but at least a tired W126 got a new lease on life. My mom likes that show for some reason, I was listening to like an "inside" episode as she was watching it. I think they replace the driveline of whatever car they do. I think they were tired of people saying it was just cosmetics so they popped the hood on one of their cars and showed the camra. So that thing might have a rebuilt engine and trasnmission with a lot of new suspension parts.
