Vacuum diaphragm replacement ?

Has anyone used the replacement diaphragms from these guys?

http://www.autoluxmbz.com/

If so, what are your impressions?

Also, can someone tell me if my 80 300SD has the double or single diaphragm actuators?

Thanks

I bought similar ones from performance products years ago for my 240D, they worked great but I would reccommend doing ALL of them at once. I repaired the one actuator (two diaphragms were ripped) in one door and it worked good for a few weeks. I was constantly having to retest the system every few weeks to find new leaks that kept popping up, i.e. "weakest link in the chain" theory. Get enough to do all your door actuators.

and yes, you should have the old style ones.

What about the climate control flap actuators?

From the vacuum diagram, it would appear that only one of the 5 actuators (#42 in the diagram) http://handbook.w116.org/Climate%5C83-604.pdf is of the double diaphragm variety and therefore requiring both the top and bottom replacement units.

Is this a correct assumption?

oops. when you said double diaphragm, I immediatly thought door locks for whatever reason.

going off the diagram, 40, 41 and 43 are the single element types, 44 looks like it would be the older style heat shutoff valve found on the early 107's, based on that one, I think that it would have two diaphragms in it, but am unsure. 42 would be a double as well.

good link though, I was unaware that the a/c pod diaphragms were available seperatly.

No, you were correct, I'm going to replace the door lock pods as well.
Just trying to get a fix on what I need to order. Not sure if I order tops or bottoms for the single diaphragm units.
I'll give those guys at autoluxmbz call and see if they have some insight into what I need.
