'84 300D Shattered Glass (Driver's door)

The door catch mechanism came loose and bound against the glass inside my daughter's door. She forced it and was surprised when the glass burst into a million pieces.

I've searched and searched and can't find anything on putting a new piece of glass in the door. I have several parts doors and will jump into it tonight, but any advice would be appreciated.

Do you have the FSM on CD? IIRC, the procedure is listed there.

I know some one on the forum has done such also. Do a search for door glass removal/installation.

I don't have that, but I did my best with Haynes and finally got the glass out of the practice door (donar door). But that is manual and seemed relatively easy. As for getting it back into the receiving door along with the regulator....i'm still a bit foggy.

Driver's glass removal on 126

It's for the w126, but I'm sure the procedure is the same.
