I hope your wife set a low reserve price.

Can you give me some details on the 240D? Why its not running?

I'm close enough to have some interest. Will need to have extra time to negotiate with MY wife.............

Bought it not running in hopes of working on it this summer with my grandson so he would have a car for school next year. Looks like that's not going to happen. (he wasn't all that enthused about the car) Glow plugs seem to be working, used the hand pump to check for fuel flow etc. Seems like it wants to start but just won't go that last little bit. Since I bought the 300CD, wife wants me to get rid of everything else. Has a very solid body, jack points etc. 5 good "Bundt" rims on mismatched tires. Drivers seat is torn up, rest of interior is fair to good. Carfax says it had a minor front end accident somewhere along the line. Grille is broken and hood has some wrinkles, that's all I see. I was going to use the Euro headlights on my CD but decided I like the original lights better. Any specific questions I'll try to answer. I'm in St.Marys County near Patuxent River Naval Base, about an hour from you in Northern VA depending on traffic.

Not a good time to sell

HA id say both sometimes, depends on what day. id take the benz and run. Why dont your wife love mercedes, if i was you i would keep them instead of buying some gasoline car that has 10 mpg, and gas is going to be a hell lot of money by summer time, thats why i bought my other benz. there beautiful. heres a pic of both of them, one on the left is the 1985 MB 300d Color: Anthracite On the right is the 1983 MB 300d Color: Black, this one was bought in 83 by my dad and she still runs like a tank, but the 85 is faster for some reason. but it has NO RUST

You are just around the block from me. I live in Drayden. I have two 85s a silver sedan (kids) and a green TD mine. You are right these oil burners are addictive.

I'm not getting rid of all of them, I'm keeping the '85 300CD (Anthracite like your's) I'd keep everything but her son just bought a boat and is crying about not enough room to park it he even wants me to move my sailboat so he can have more room at the pier. (not going to happen). Besides the Mercedes and Harleys listed in my signature, I also have a 32 ft. class A motorhome, '82 Buic Regal Sport Coupe Turbo (pre Grand National) and a 1958 Austin Healey. See Why she's complaining? She's usually pretty forgiving though.

Good news, sons boat is now in the yard, not even in the water. Better news, sold the 300D this afternoon locally. A few of you have asked about the 240 so here are some more pictures instead of e-mailing them to everyone (I've got slow speed internet here in the boonies)
